Each collection pairs a custom handcrafted kitchen knife with a complementary end-grain cutting board, designed to work beautifully together.

A premium knife deserves an equally exceptional cutting surface.

Each Project Sword & Board cutting board is handcrafted by RAD DESIGN using carefully selected hardwoods and traditional end-grain construction.

Unlike conventional edge-grain cutting boards, an end-grain board presents the ends of the wood fibers as the cutting surface.

This construction creates a durable, resilient surface that allows wood fibers to separate slightly under the knife's edge and return toward their original position.

The result is a cutting surface that is gentle on quality knife edges and well suited to years of everyday preparation.

Every board is individually assembled, shaped, sanded, and finished by hand, revealing the distinctive grain patterns and natural character of the wood.
